Work Experience:
Tim started his career with Toyota Motor Manufacturing working with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen techniques, and teaming concepts. After graduation, Tim took a position as an Electrical Process Engineer in a plastics extrusion production facility. Over the next few years, Tim took on roles of increasing responsibility at several companies in areas including Facilities and Plant Engineering. After receiving his PE, Tim transitioned to Engineering consulting. Tim feels that having experience as both a client and consultant enables him to better relate to Varo’s clients’ needs, concerns and expectations.

DAVE MACYNSKI (COO)

Work Experience:
Dave's career (35 years) as a consulting engineer has focused in the industrial manufacturing market. His roles have included Professional Structural Engineer, Project Manager and Office/Company Engineering Manager. Initially, as a product engineer, Dave participated on teams involved in many manufacturing line rebuilds centered around raw material handling and melting, primarily for DuPont and Owens Corning. This on-the-job training, combined with his education in Operations Management, has positioned him well to be Varo's current Engineering Manager & COO.

SHAWN LAMBACHER (CFO)

Work Experience:
Shawn started his career with Arthur Andersen, Chicago, IL as a management staff consultant. From there he held various roles with Owens Corning, Toledo, OH in many diverse businesses over a period of 18 years. His roles included Business Development, Strategic Planning, General Manager, Business Planning manager and Credit manager. Currently, Shawn is the CFO at Varo and has been since 1999. His vast experience provides a great benefit to the company in areas such as Finance/Accounting, Client Site Services, Human Resources and Strategic Planning.
JIM SCHLUNT (VP Electrical Engineering)

Work Experience:
Jim has been in the electrical engineering industry for over 31 years. He has been an Electrical Engineering Group manager for over 5 years, supervised Electrical Engineering and Design Staff for 24 years, and has been performing Project Management and Lead Engineer services for 26 years. His areas of expertise are in industrial and electrical generating station power distribution and control systems, as well as commercial building power distribution and lighting. He has 11 years experience as a consulting engineer, as well as 20 years experience in corporate and plant engineering. Special Experience: Human Factors requirement for power plant control rooms; reliability of control systems, through redundant systems.

DARRELL DANIELS (VP Material Handling)

Work Experience:
Darrell is making the most of a 40 year career in the material handling industry. Darrell started with Jeffrey Manufacturing in 1968 as a beginning level draftsmen, working his way up to a mechanical designer. He changed career direction from an equipment engineer to a consulting engineer in 1970. From there, Darrell has been working the last 15 years in large consulting engineering firms focusing on coal, cement, grain, limestone, scrubber industries, and import/export terminals. Currently, Darrell is the VP of Material Handling and a Sr. Project Manager for large scale bulk handling projects at Varo.

ERIC SCHOEFF (VP Process Engineering)

Work Experience:
Eric has spent over 35 years as a consulting engineer to architectural, industrial and bulk material handling clients. After spending the first 12 years of his career in the bulk material handling industry, Eric moved to a structural engineering firm to focus on commercial and institutional buildings. He returned to the industrial sector after 7 years to develop his project management skills, and has managed engineering services for numerous major industrial projects over the last 16 years. His broad background and experience have equipped him for his role of developing Varo’s process engineering expertise and market.

DAVID VAN DEUSEN (General Manager)

Work Experience:
Dave started his career with American Electric Power (AEP) in support of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Power Station. Over his 12 year tenure, he worked in safety and licensing, nuclear fuels, plant engineering, a self-assessment group, and performed business and strategic planning for the nuclear business unit. After AEP, Dave spent the next 10 years extending his experience in project management, business development and consulting. Since joining Varo in 2007, Dave has continued the development of the Client Site Services Group, serves as the company’s recruiting manager, become an integral part of Varo’s Business Development group and has chaired the company safety committee (2007-2009). Dave’s newest charge is to develop the Nuclear Services Business for Varo.

Dave is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, and has been a member of the American Nuclear Society for 25 years.
